We start our trip trought the Canyonlands from south to north and our first stop was the Valley Of Fire State Park (Fee 10 Dollar but worth it)
As we are in the desert, it is still superhot, which makes hiking pretty exhausting.
Valley of Fire, thats why its called like this because all the rocks look red and firery.
Its interesting to see the changing in the colours of the rocks.
Ususally its not allowed to climb random rocks, only in designated areas, but I am a lawbreaker and climb everything haha.
Laura in froont of her house entrance waiting for rain.
These rocks are called the seven sisters (obviously you only can see two) and they just sit around doing nothing but nobody would expext them there because around them there is nothin.
Again some rock formations by the way the rockformations are a result of abrasion, the wind formed the rocks during the last millions of years, also you can find petrified logs which give a hint at the age of the Valley, they are about 225 Mio years old.
This picture shows a narrow (american narrow) and winding road through the Valley. By the way Valley of Fire is the biggest and Oldest State Park in Nevada even the dinosaurs lived there in former times.
But the trip must go on, problem is that the roads are so long and straight so I often get a bit tired and IAH needs to cover my place as a driver. This just one of the straight long roads we drove.
Thanks for you attention, We are out, your Hot Couple.
