After Grand there comes the Glen Canyon

Glen Canyon National Recreation area is about 1,2 million acres and reaches from Lees Ferry in Arizona to the Orange Cliffs of southern Utah.
In this recreational area you can find a lot of different things, for example the antelope canyons, which we missed and thats a pity because they are wounderful.
Furthermore you can do all kind of wateractivities from swiming over kayking to houseboating on the beautiful lake Powell.

As we missed the Antelope canyons because they are so hidden and you need to do a tour to reach them, we enjoyed ourselfes at the lake with a double kayak.
 Glen Canyon.
 Some interesting rock formations.
And this is the big Colorado river, the same like the one from Grand canyon :D
 Again the Colorado river.
At least we saw a Dam, its not the Hoover Dam but the second largest in the Canyonstates, the Glen Canyon Dam.
At night we made a little bonfire at the campground and whatched the stars and played City,State,River. This was the arrival and the next day we checked out the huge Lake Powell and rented a kayak to explore the cliffs.
Laura and Me in front of the Ice Cream Canyon.
 Lake and Canyon.
On top of a big sanddune in the middle of two cliffs(pretty steep).
 More rocks in the Lake.
But the rocks werent normal rocks, it was just very hard pressed sand, you could easily deform the big rocks ans smash them.

Thats ist from a wonderful day at the lake, which was about 23 C warm.
See yo at Bryce Canyon next time.

Love your paddelingcouple.
